The present paper discusses different types of language errors found both in Polish templates
of diplomatic notes and texts written and translated on the basis of these templates.
The author presents and analyses spelling and punctuation errors, syntactic and lexical
errors as well as borrowings. Each type of error is illustrated with quotations. The paper
ends with the conclusion that language correctness is extremely important in all official
texts, including diplomatic notes, and therefore the errors indicated and discussed in this
paper should be corrected.
