Małgorzata Guławska-Gawkowska

Abstract

The article presents linguistic strategies for achieving gender equality through language use in German and Polish cultural area. In German, there are clear regulations that help to create gender neutral official texts. None of the proposed solutions in Polish is perfect, but there is also a lack of social debate about the use of a language sensitive to issues of gender. Therefore, from the perspective of linguistics, the main postulate is to undertake research on the reception of names for females or splitting in Polish texts.
